The main asset of this program is the quality of some of the information provided. However, there were a lot of redundancies between different professors.

The grading of most of the exams were highly subjective leading to bias (unconscious, or otherwise). There were a large number of PowerPoint presentations used as the basis of grading, which led to this subjectivity, and aren't really relevant to the work of being a winemaker or viticulturist. In addition, many of the graded items were group projects, leading to further difficulty in evaluating the work done by individuals. Also, the amount of memorization required for exams on a consistent basis shifted focus away from learning the larger concepts and synthesizing understandings. For example, we were asked to study over 1000 slides in just over a week's time - not very useful.

The director became easily angry and there was a reoccurring question among students: "Do you want to poke the bear?" This environment then felt toxic as students avoided asking questions or questioning anything that he proposed.
